What's the difference between hang out and dating?

Can you tell me what's the difference between hang out and dating? Thanks in advance.

That question is something that you and the other person need to sort of figure out between yourselves. You should just ask in a very normal way without being shy, or anything of the sort, and drop the question. You need too because the last thing you wanna do is lead yourself on, or the other person on if one of you are not into the other. That way you protect each other and are still friends in the end!

  1. One involves having a pleasant conversation and the other involves sex.

  2. One can involve more than one person, and there is usually a certain setting for a date. There's also in SOME situations more personal space when hanging out.

  3. Hanging out is more of a laid back and casual type of activity. Dating is formal, like you are trying to impress the other person and it would involve going out to a nice restaurant and getting to know someone.

You can hang out without someone and get to know them as well but you don't usually go in it with the intention of becoming their bf/gf right away.

  4. If someone ask you if you want to hang out it's just as friends, but they are hoping for more. But if they actually ask you to go to a specific place like to dinner or a movie or concert or something then it is a date. Then if they ask you to be their girlfriend/boyfriend yall aren't dating anymore, yall are going out. I know it's confusing.

  6. I think you’ll probably be able to find the answer to your dilemma at Lisa Daily’s site, http://www.datingexpert.tv (Plus, there’s a lot of good info there.) She’s the author of two dating books, HOW TO DATE LIKE A GROWN-UP and STOP GETTING DUMPED. It’s one of my favorite sites for dating tips and advice, and the videos are pretty funny.

I’m pretty sure she answers questions that are sent to her, you might try her for an answer to your question.
