Which of the following dating methods provides a fairly exact numerical age of a rock section?

a. radioisotopic dating
b. faunal correlation
c. paleomagnetic dating
d. none of the above provide exact numerical ages

I think it's a. Am I correct?
Well, it does say "fairly" exact. I understand that no dating technique is actually an exact determination. I wish it were! That would be really cool. But I guess I should go with a then? Since it's fairly exact and not definitely exact?

The answer is (d) but the nearest correct answer I would prefer is (a).
You said exact numerical age, hence I say answer (d) is correct.
Radiometric dates are constrained with 1/2 life, so the precision would depend upon the pair of radiogenic elements used in determining the age besides accuracy of the methodology/instrumentation etc..
